Privacy Policy

This policy covers the Puff Drop app. See our website privacy note for website analytics.

AfterworkCoder ("we," "us," or "our") operates Puff Drop (the "App"), a puff counter and quit-vaping tracker for iPhone and Apple Watch.

This policy is short because the App is built so that we never receive your data. Puff Drop has no account system, no analytics, no advertising, no third-party SDKs, and no servers of our own. We do not see your puffs, your cravings, your spending, or your device identifiers.

What Puff Drop Stores

The App stores what you log and what you set up, all on your device:

• Puffs, with their time and where they were logged from
• Cravings, and whether they passed or not
• Your quit plan, daily limits, pauses, and re-plans
• Your profile — roughly how much you vape, what a pod or disposable costs, its nicotine strength, and your quit date
• Trigger tags you attach to puffs (Premium)
• Savings goals (Premium)
• Reminders, quiet hours, and other settings

This data is stored using SwiftData in the App's private container. Your Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, the Control Center button, and the Apple Watch app read from and write to that same container on your device — nothing passes through us.

If you turn on iCloud sync (a Premium feature), the same data is stored in your own iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit private database. That database is tied to your Apple Account, and we have no ability to access it.

What We Collect

Nothing. We collect no personal information, no usage analytics, no crash telemetry, and no advertising identifiers. We do not track you across apps or websites. The App's privacy manifest declares no tracking, and the only network connections it makes are to Apple — for purchases (StoreKit) and, if you enable it, iCloud sync (CloudKit).

On Apple's App Privacy scale, the App's classification is Data Not Collected. The only exception is purchase history, which Apple handles and reports as described below.

Apple Watch

The Apple Watch app stores its own puffs and cravings and exchanges them with your iPhone directly over Apple's WatchConnectivity framework — a device-to-device link that does not involve any server.

Notifications

Daily check-ins and milestone notifications are scheduled locally on your device and do not require a server connection or a push token. By design, the text of a notification never includes your puff count, money saved, or nicotine amounts, so nothing about your progress is shown on your Lock Screen unless you open the App. You can change or revoke notification access at any time in Settings → Notifications → Puff Drop.

Milestone Cards

When you share a milestone card, the image is rendered on your device and handed to the iOS share sheet. You choose where it goes. We do not receive, store, or see the card or where you sent it.

Purchases

Puff Drop Premium is sold through Apple's App Store, as a monthly or annual auto-renewing subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. Apple processes the payment and shares only anonymous purchase status with the App — no name, no card details. Apple's privacy policy applies to the transaction.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel them in Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions. Where a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription during the trial period.

Your Rights

You can export everything as JSON or CSV, or delete everything, from Settings inside the App. Both are free. Because we hold no copy of your data, there is nothing for us to delete or hand over on our side.

Privacy laws such as the GDPR and CCPA grant rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, and to opt out of its sale. Because we collect and process no personal data, there is nothing for us to access, correct, port, or delete, and nothing to sell. We do not sell or share personal information under any definition.

Sharing of Information

We have no information to share, sell, or disclose. There are no third-party service providers, analytics vendors, or advertising partners involved in the App. Apple's role is limited to processing purchases and, if you enable it, storing your sync data in your own iCloud account.

Age

Puff Drop is for adults aged 18 and over, and asks you to confirm this the first time you open it. It is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone — we collect no personal information at all.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

If this policy changes, the new version is published at this address with a new effective date. If the App ever begins collecting data, we will update this policy and the App's App Store privacy labels before that version ships.
